Abstract

|
A congenital double ureter with megaureter is of interest because of its rarity and difficulty in diagnosis.
This one year old female was admitted with the chief problems of high fever, marked ¢¥abdominal distension and vomiting for five days duration.
After confirming the diagnosis by exploratory laparotomy, a nephroureterectomy of the left side was performed.
The pathological findings showed a chronic nonspecific inflammation with marked congestion and cystic dilatation of the left kidney and megaureter.
We presented a case of congenital double ureter with megaureter and. reviewed the literatures.
